How do we start a game?
One player taps Create a room, picks the starting chips and shares the room code. Everyone else taps Join and enters the code. When at least two players are seated, the host starts the game.
Do we all need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
Yes. Nofi Dice connects the phones directly over your local network, so everyone must be on the same Wi-Fi, or on one phone’s personal hotspot. There is no online matchmaking.
The game can’t find the room. What should I check?
Make sure every phone is on the same Wi-Fi network and that Local Network access is on for Nofi Dice under Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Some guest or public Wi-Fi networks block phones from talking to each other; a personal hotspot usually works.
Who is the Nofi?
At the start, everyone rolls in seating order and the highest total becomes the Nofi. Tied players roll again. The Nofi matches every bet and changes during the game, for example when the Nofi rolls a zero or runs out of chips.
How does a round work?
Everyone except the Nofi places a bet. The Nofi rolls first: a 9 wins every bet, a 0 loses every bet, and anything else is the number to beat. Each player then rolls and wins if they beat that number. A 9 always wins, and the first player to roll one becomes the next Nofi.
What happens if a phone disconnects?
Every phone keeps the full game, so if the host leaves or loses Wi-Fi another player takes over within a few seconds and the game continues. A player who drops out mid-round is skipped and their bet is returned.
Are the chips real money?
No. Chips are game points only. They have no cash value, can’t be bought or cashed out, and there are no prizes or in-app purchases. If you run out, the host can refill your chips for free.
Can I play on my own?
Nofi Dice is made for playing together, but you can try the dice on your own with Practice rolls.
